William Faulkner, ayer, hoy y mañana

William Faulkner yesterday, today, tomorrow

“[I have] a compulsion to say everything in one sentence because I may not live long enough to have two sentences”. This was one of the great quotes by William Faulkner (1897-1962) that we recover in an article we wrote in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the southern farmer, as he liked to call himself. His books have to be read one, two, three or even more times. “Read them four times”, he exclaimed when somebody asked what he would recommend to people who did not understand his novels after reading them two or three times.
